Holiday Wrap-Up

While I was away on holiday in Greece I did do some reading. Not as much as I wanted to but still some reading nonetheless!

I finished The Keeper by David Baldacci, which I found to be a refreshing fantasy read. I’ll definitely be posting up a full review of this. The only thing about this was that I wish I had read the first book before this so I could get the full background to Vega Jane and her story. This book worked well as a stand alone but there’s so much more to be explored in this world that I feel I needed the first book to cover.

I then moved on to Brooklyn by Colm Toibin, which I’m currently half way through. This is a very different book to what I would normally read but I’m definitely enjoying it and would recommend it so far! I am enjoying the character of Eilis and her life in America and how it differs to Ireland.

I hoped to read more while I was away but I did enjoy the time I had exploring the island of Crete. We visited Knossos, Spinalonga and Agios Nikolaos. Hopefully a more detailed blog about my travels to come!
