I’ve spent a lot of time this year moving about from place to place and I really started to lose the value of just losing myself in a good book. As I mentioned back in May, when I’m going through a period of sad, I either block the world out completely with books or I won’t touch them.
April was a particularly sluggish month for me when it comes to reading. I started experimenting with audio books but haven’t gotten into them yet.
In 2015 I read 30 books of the 50 that I challenged myself to read. This is the first year ever that I’ve failed at my reading challenge. However, I still consider 2015 a success, partially down to the fact that I made a greater effort to read a different type of book.
While making a whistle stop tour of London, I happened to be going through Old Street Station, which fascinatingly has exits surrounding a roundabout. When exiting I discovered a small hub of brilliant shops and pop-ups such as a delicious doughnut stall. However, my eyes instantly fell on the neatly situated bookshop in the corner.
While I was away on holiday in Greece I did do some reading. Not as much as I wanted to but still some reading nonetheless!
So I am going to Greece for a week and by the time you read this I will have just landed! Yes that’s right don’t worry Blogtober is still happening and I will continue to provide you with bookish goodness each day while I’m away… it just might have been pre-planned goodness.
Today I thought I’d give you a run down of everything I’m hoping to read this month. Apart from when I go on holiday in a weeks time as I want to do a special Holiday TBR! So this will be the books I hope to read for the other three weeks of the month!
Here is a video about the books I read this month!! 😀
